“What to do with this chain!?”

Description from A Juneau: I bought the chain in the first little box in this pick....and I don't know what to do with it! I thought the links were open but they are soldered. Can anyone help? What's it supposed to be used for? :P

Ooh I like this pick!! Love the Buddha charm. You could use jumprings to attach charms and beads right onto the chain and wear the whole thing as a necklace. Good luck and I hope you post a pic of the finished product! :)

I like it! Ivy is right or you can cut some rings out of the chain and use beads on eyepins to connect them back. I did that once :-)

Your dilemma is the very reason that I haven’t yet ordered that chain! I do like the suggestions from Ivy and Sarah, so I think I’ll order some when I get out of BP. Also, I really like your pick…maybe you can use some of these items in your necklace! :D

Thank for the suggestions! I’m thinking, too, that maybe I cut use wire cutters to separate them, then once I’m finished, I can just solder each piece by itself. I wanted to use each link for something different…once bracelet or a pair of earrings. I’ll definitely post something when I figure it out LOL

Hi Amanda: I see your dilemma – My suggestion would be to cut apart the chain and use the links that are uncut for your necklace. You can take the uncut chain links and attach them to links of another smaller chain to create your necklace. You can use the larger links for connecting charms, smaller drops, etc. Just a thought! You can still use the cut links for something else if you want to. I try to never waste anything! Lots of luck. I will be curious to see what you make. Harriet ;)
