Description from Cuban Queen Crazy Chick: An old German folktale about the changing of the seasons. When winter is over, Mother Earth and all her children wake up from the long winter to bring spring to the world. The version that I have is written by Audrey Wood and breathtakingly illustrated with oil paintings by Ned Bittinger. It's one of my favorite children's books.
