BTW…how do you pronounce that? Hehehe!!

    Mary - Sweet Chick says:

    Pronounced Choco-la’tl.

Not my recipe. Dagoba Organic Chocolate company makes it. And yes, chipotle chilis add a wonderful spiciness that goes surprisingly well with it. I fell in love with it.
My cousin owns a chocolate shop and she also introduced me to dark chocolate covered chipotle almonds. I am SO addicted! lol!

If chocolate is not one of the basic food groups, I declare it to be so!!
All those in agreement, say I!!!

Thanks for your info…it kind of looked like a completely unpronounceable name. I must try it out; sounds delicious, just like those almonds! :-)

You can probably find Dagoba brand chocolate in most Organic grocery stores.
I find that they are willing to stock different flavors if you request them.
If not, Dagoba’s website is You can browse thru their products there and decide what sounds good to you.
I order mine thru an organic food co-op that I’m a member of, so I can get it at a pretty good price. Shop around, different stores have different prices.

Besides the hot cocoa Dagoba also has lots of different types of chocolate from around the world as well as different percentages of cocoa.
It’s kind of like wine tasting or coffee varieties. Until I found them I had no idea of the complexities found in the taste of chocolate. It all depends on the soil and where it’s grown.
My favorite is Conacado, grown in the Dominican Republic.
Probably more than you wanted to know but there you have it, just in case!!
