Description from Kitty Chicky Cat: I woke up late today, moseyed out of bed, and was shocked to see white sky, white ground, white everything and fat flakes slowly and silently filling the sky and making their way down to the ground. Everything has a beautiful, pure white coating that sparkles like a wonderland!
I love the peaceful feeling about a near whiteout snow where there is no breath of wind and the large flakes take their own sweet time making it to the ground and the sky is all white and the world is quiet. Everything is so still; not a creature is stirring, man nor beast, it feels like you are the last one on Earth; nothing is moving except the large snowflakes, and even gravity seems to have no effect on them, no bearing in this reality; everything looks fresh and clean covered by it’s soft, smooth layer of snow, as if the world is new; in this enveloping sea of nothing but pure white you wonder if this was what it felt like for Adam as he looked for the first time upon the world with eyes so new they were dazzled by the light; time seems irrelevant, as it must in Heaven; the sky envelops you in a thick white down blanket of angel feathers, protecting you from even the thought of the world outside; and there is a quiet stillness beyond even the lack of sound in this otherworldly realm, a peace that calls to your soul and is what the human heart longs for since it was first sculpted, woven, and placed into the body of one man thousands of years ago; ahhhh, and that sweet silence… until you run out the door whoopin’ and hollerin’ and fling yourself down the first hill you come to penguin-style, a screamin’ all the way! ;D Merry Christmas everybody! May your heart be filled with the peace and childlike joy of the season!

Sue, I agree about the driving part!! I wish it could snow like it does in those Walgreens commercials where the yards were covered but the roads and sidewalks stayed clear! I guess I’ll have to be ready! I may need to get more hot cocoa and canned soup! lol How are you doing on that mountainside?! I’m sure it’s gorgeous but it must make for one scary winter commute! You be careful ok?! I don’t want to be hearing about ant frozen Chickies on the news!!

Faithful Chick aka Faith says:When I lived in Ohio I my back yard used to look like aliens landed in it. We raised doxies. I used to go out every snow and shovel a big path from the house to the back gate. Then I shoveled 3 big circles so all the critters could go out.
My big old daddy male doxie used to decide after it warmed enough and chilled back up that he could walk on the snow top. Well as you can figure he’d fall through and I’d see his ears flappin and would have to tread through 10in. snow and pull him out. Funny site LOL.
