Not so much unpleasant, but between this movie & young Zak, I am remembering my dad tonight. He had Parkinson’s. When I saw the movie it depicted much of what “could be” in his life. Thankfully, it didn’t get the chance to fully debilitate him.

Lorrie, it’s ok, now. He did so well for so long. And our whole family is thankful that ultimately it wasn’t Parkinson’s that took him. It did contribute, but we all learned some incredible lessons in perseverance from how he dealt with it. In some ways it made him, my Mom & our family strong. Not that I’d choose that route, but we all have our difficulties, right?

We live in Kokomo, Indiana, and they live a little over 2 hours south of us in Bloomington, where Indiana University is located, so it doesn’t take too long to get there. Suzanne works full-time as an assistant store manager and her husband, Dave, is a stay-at-home dad with his own lawn care business. She just returned to work this past Friday from her maternity leave.
