“behind on the challenge”

Description from kcdesigns AKA sporty: okay- I am pretty behind on reading the picks but had to do this one. I dont like black and white stones- sorry for those who do. There are 4 different stone here that I would not ever buy-lol. They remind me of cows(in VT) or zebras.

Well I think this looks great! Can’t say that I’ve ever bought any black and white stones, either, but you did a good job with this one!

Black and white is always classic…love it!

    hey KC,

I can definitely relate, I’m also not attracted to B/W striped gemstones like the ones you have here, LOL!!! :)

there is almost a full page of black and white beads- I love black beads and clear beads- not white beads but I don’t like black and white together beads. anyway, I agree the new kunzite is pretty- if you like pink

oooo (not moo! lol )! I love this pick and all the beautiful black and white stones! Cool pattern!

I like the black and white stones just not all at once! LOL! I think the black and white mixed with red or other strong colors would be great.

  10. Shannon aka Silly Chick
    Shannon aka Silly Chick says:

The Black and White stripey beads are good for some of the “african” inspired designs popular right now – kind of zebra-ish! The Black Water Jasper is my fave of the bunch!

  11. KPJEWELS
    KPJEWELS says:

I like the black water jasper also. I don’t care for black but I like this combo. I wired the black water jasper donut and it is sharp.

  12. Shannon aka Silly Chick
    Shannon aka Silly Chick says:

OOOO…would love to see it. I’m a little intimidated by wire wrapping – I ‘ve done some, but nothing as complicated as I would’ve liked…:<

  13. KPJEWELS
    KPJEWELS says:

Practice makes perfect as they say. Try wrapping some beach glass to practice. I’ve only done a few pieces but I like working with wire. It changes your whole design and gives it that spark it needs sometimes.

  14. movie chick aka susan
    movie chick aka susan says:

3KJEWELS – this may be a dumb question, where did you get the beach glass…did you ordered it or did you literally find it ‘on the beach’?

  15. Shannon aka Silly Chick
    Shannon aka Silly Chick says:

    Agreed!

  16. KPJEWELS
    KPJEWELS says:

I got mine from a bead shop but have since found lots of it on the beach. Out of the way type of beaches are the best, especially the rocky ones where no one goes normally.
