“berrylicious”

Description from Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick: Thanks to Debbi! I think the kyanite works well. In real life the pyrite appears to have a greenish tint to it. Looks great with the zoisite and other greens.

I was thinking of two strands. Either attached or as “companion pieces”. One slightly longer maybe with muscovite teardrops.

Thanks ladies! I’m working on the 2nd strand now. Trying to figure out what to do with muskovite teardrops.

hey no rush okay??? I know w/ a multi-strand necklace it takes longer to get the strands right sometimes, unlike single strand ones :)

and I’m thinking Joyce, that maybe I should work on the 3 pieces and 2 restrings that people are paying for, instead of something that’s just for fun. My shopping cart is getting up there! Not to mention all the silver I just ordered elsewhere.

yes, not so easy to do sometimes when we see beads that call to us! I’m sure our shopping carts don’t get too empty here, LB knows how to entice us, along w/ the other local bead shops and shows in our areas… just saw a local bead shop yesterday offering 30% off all gemstone strands, way wicked temptation even though their gemstones don’t match LB’s selection…

    HELP – I NEED ADVICE!
Should I finish this off a dbl strand?
Or my original plan was two separate necklaces… companion pieces if you will…

Is this for you or to sell? If you leave it as two separate pieces, a person may buy one or both, increasing your sales, depending upon how you price them, of course. Since it looks beautiful either way, it won’t matter how it is worn — it would be personal preference. Leaving the strands separate does increase the wearer’s options — three necklaces instead of just one. :-)

  15. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

I would leave them separate, just for the extra options it would give me. With a lower neckline, I could wear the necklace with the muscovite drop or both strands together. With a more rounded neckline, I could wear just the rounded necklace. I love jewelry that gives me options — removable pendants, extender chains, etc.

  16. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

You could even make two pairs of earrings to go with the necklace — one to match the muscovite drops and another simpler pair to go with the rounded necklace. I often do this with necklace sets that I make. People seem to like the variety of choice it gives them! :-)

Yup, I agree with Chicky LE, The more options, the better!!! VERY PRETTY necklace!!!!

Thanks Ladies – sorry I disappeared there for a few – I was actually interacting with my family.

I do agree. 2 separate pieces.
and look – 4 different stones!

    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

How DARE your family expect you to interact with them! LOL :-)

Please send a new pix when the necklace is finished! BTW, I love the combo of stones you used! Is this going to be a keeper or are you selling it?

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:

Probably selling. My plan is to increase stock and then think about some craft fairs. Although I may have to wear it (them) first – lol

Hi Jeanne! I actually like that necklace as a two-strand but you’re right, leaving them separate gives more options…

I know Ivy – that’s why I asked for advice. When I put them together I thought that’s how they’re meant to be. They’re still sitting there – apart. Have to work on one I know will be paid for on Friday.
