Description from Kitty Chicky Cat: stones that glow from within!
Long ago when that which was was still young, the Fairies did not want the firelight to ever go out in the earth, even in The Dark Times they kept it alive, or Darkness would rein forever as The Night. So they enlisted the earth old expertise of the Dwarfs and the sweet wind reed music of the Elves to set The Firelight in eternal stone. These three elder tribes took Fire, Fairy Dust, the Blood of the Dwarves, the Tears of the Elves, and all their combined knowledge of the old magic of what was to work together as they never have, before or since, with all their skill to capture the firelight till the end of time. They created beautiful molten stone with all the enchanting beauty and glow of fire! But despite all their skill of craft the stone would not harden. They realized they had forgotten the fourth element, the youngest of the four great ancient races, the Mer. With the Siren's Song the new stone was finally completed and Firelight was bound to the Earth for all time. And so the Dwarves placed these new Firestones deep within the earth in their oldest tunnels to someday be fund by the newest tribe of the living, those who were emerging instead of fading, those who would become The Great Race and decide the fate of the Earth, Man.
such is the legend of the Fire Stones and how the Firelight was captured on the Earth and The Darkness held at bay. ;P lol Forgive my melodrama?! It’s late!
