I realize this is not a “pretty” pick. I tried to put how fibromyalgia feels in to a color combo and all the mixed textures. I tried to incorporate hope, pain, courage, and chaos in this bead pick. I hope no one else viewing this knows what this feels like.

Yup, I know exactly what this feels like Shelly. Unfortunately there’s probably many of us here at LB that do. Hope you’re not having a flare-up at the moment. Hang in there chickie. We’re here for you if need any support. :-)

Oh my yes! I’ve suffered with ME/CFS and fibro for nearly 30 years. I’m having a terrible flare but I have additional issues so I may have to go thru all the expense of a scan to see if something new is wrong and needs fixing. I have DDD and have had 2 surgeries – almost had a 3rd. Also have neuropathy from all of the above and not from diabetes.

I’ve been under a lot of stress for years from all my husband’s illnesses and subsequent passing and I’ve gone from feeling sort of OK to now worrying about how I’m going to manage. I know where you’re coming from. I don’t think any pick can adequate illustrate what we go thru.

Mary and Nancy, I am so sorry you both suffer with fibro. I appreciate hearing from others that are going thru this. Everything just kind of hit me like a ton of bricks. I have been diagnosed with fibro now for 3 years, and like you Nancy, I have DDD. Today has been a rough day, but just like you ladies, when the going gets tough, we just get tougher. So I am going to send well wishes to you both. Thanks for reaching out to me.

Shelly, Isn’t it great that we have a place to go like LB to temporarily get away from all our physical issues and have fun for a while.

Thanks for your pick’s title to draw attention to our and many, many other’s plight. We tend to be the subject of ridicule from so many who don’t have a clue – including many in the medical profession.

So sorry to hear that you all are dealing with this – keeping you in my thoughts and wishing you well. Thanks, Shelly, for sharing an illustration of your experience with this powerful pick.

I`m so sorry to hear this…I`m dealing with some lung issues myself right now. They are not sure what it is as of yet, because I`m still waiting to get in to see the specialist. Keep up your spirits…wishing you all better days ahead.

Thanks for this pick. I count myself among a great group of people here on LB who share this malady, having been ‘officially’ diagnosed in 1993 although suffered from it for years. My elderly father has had it all his life. I digress. Certainly is a ‘game changer’; changed my entire life, career, etc. But, we press on and find out what we CAN do when we can. You’re in my prayers. Grace and peace to you.

Shelly, you have captured the feel and look and complex emotions of fibro. The brain in a bottle exactly encapsulates the fibro-fog in which I’m so often lost. This creative and humorous collection goes on my favorites and inspires me to experiment more with beads as not only beautiful, but theraputic as well.

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. I often use beading as a therapeutic way to relax. Simply bead to string is soothing to me. I am hoping with all my might soon they may find a way to conquer this disabling pain. I feel for everyone on here that is suffering this or any other health issue. My thoughts are with you all and thank you again for your soothing words.
