Love these earrings read your blog, you do realize that there are anti-tarnish copper wire that will not oxidize? Probably best to test a piece of wire first before trying again. Good luck!

My guess is that one of the copper wires (bare) is one that you can use for patina or LoS and the other is protected from being tarnished. That’s the only reason I can come up with.
