Personal
I’m a very lucky mostly stay-at-home mom from south-central Kansas. I have 2 great children, one in elementary school and one in middle school. My very patient husband inadvertently got me hooked on beads about 6 years ago by encouraging me to take a bead stringing class. If only he could have known the addiction it would spawn!
I have loved “pretty rocks” since I was a child, and gemstone beads are my favorite. I have dabbled in wire wrapping recently, and would like to improve. Someday when space allows I would like to get into polymer and PMC clay and silversmithing.
My loves are family; our pets – 3 cats, 2 cockatiels and a dog; gardening and animals & nature in general. And beads of course!
I tend to do more spinning than actually accomplishing anything, hence my “Chick” name. I found Lima Beads in May of 08, and now am spoiled rotten! I am a bargain hunter (99% of my purchases have come from BGBM) but also insist on high quality – this is the best place to get both!

Gorgeous, Sue! I totally agree – I’ve used the same combo! I love how you’ve balanced the rustic cross with the lighter, more elegant chains and turquoise drop. It’s a great look!

Ooooh, I love the colors in this! And the mix of gemstones, artist pieces and glass is wonderful! I’d love to see this get POD!
