Nonnie is my nickname and has been since I was about 6 years old, which is eons ago, as I am now 54. My interest in making jewelry began with faceted gemstones – studying, identifying and making jewelry with them. From that I somehow began buying beads which then led to my beading habit. Now it has been about a year and I have enjoyed every single minute of it, the shopping as well as the beading. I’ve turned one of the spare bedrooms into my “Gem Room” and it’s my “happy place”. It’s where I go to relax and when I have been inspired to create something. I have a couple of desks, beads hanging on the wall, a super comfortable futon, my computer, and stacks and stacks of beads to play with.
My wonderful husband of umpteen million years lovingly supports my beading habit. We have 2 sons that we are very proud of and 1 beautiful daughter in law. Update – I now have my first grandchild. His name is Thomas and he is cute as a button! He was born January 27, 2012.
