Personal

Hi! I’m Carrie. I started making jewelry about 6 months ago. I set up a shop on Etsy in July & I just designed my own website. http://www.CarrieRachelDesigns.com , I’m still doing work on it but it’s up & running! I love the Design Gallery & The Garden. People here have been so friendly & open with their ideas & comments. I recently moved to Ohio & I don’t know many people here or have any fellow beading friends, so it’s really nice to have a place to show my work & get some feedback.

I also have a shop on Etsy:

Thanks for looking! I hope you like my jewelry! :)

Does anybody have any tips on how they price their jewelry? I’ve heard people say they double the cost of the supplies used, others have said they sell it for what they think they can get for it? Any suggestions anybody???

I’ve never used turquoise before & I wanted to buy some. Does anybody have a preference between african turquoise or regular? Is one more blue than the other? It’s so hard buying stones that you’ve never seen before in person :(

For those of you who have Etsy shops, this is pretty cool! I found a website called craftcult.com

    http://craftcult.com/heartomatic.php

You can type in your Etsy shop name, and it lists all your items, how many views each listing has gotten, and how many hearts you have.

I made a pair of earrings last night! :) Are you reading this Lynn??? LOL! I’ll have a picture posted this afternoon. Do you use flush end (I’m not sure if I’m calling that by the right name) wire cutters after you wrap the wire?
