I have a potentially big order for bridesmaids necklaces & earrings. Does anybody know how to make pearl stud earrings???!!!
any luck with finding the right cutters?
Does anybody have any tips on how they price their jewelry? I’ve heard people say they double the cost of the supplies used, others have said they sell it for what they think they can get for it? Any suggestions anybody???
I’ve never used turquoise before & I wanted to buy some. Does anybody have a preference between african turquoise or regular? Is one more blue than the other? It’s so hard buying stones that you’ve never seen before in person
For those of you who have Etsy shops, this is pretty cool! I found a website called craftcult.com
You can type in your Etsy shop name, and it lists all your items, how many views each listing has gotten, and how many hearts you have.
I made a pair of earrings last night! Are you reading this Lynn??? LOL! I’ll have a picture posted this afternoon. Do you use flush end (I’m not sure if I’m calling that by the right name) wire cutters after you wrap the wire?
I found 24 Gauge Sterling Silver Half Hard Wire – 5 feet, on FusionBeads.com for $4.45. Thanks Leigh!!!
Starsparkle Spiral Chick is a wonderful resource about wire and wirework – just take a look at all of her spirals!! The hard wire is almost unbendable, the half hard is pliable but will hold the shape you twist, bend, coil etc, Dead soft is exactly that – very pliable and not one that I have found a use for myself but I do not do wirework beyond the basics. Although I do want to learn
Thank you Leigh!!! I go by Carrie but I used Carrie Rachel when I decided on the name for my shop. Thinking of a name was almost as hard as learning how to make the jewelry, lol. Someone came up with ”I Carrie Jewelry” which I think is cute, and I still might use somewhere. Thanks again! I don’t know anything about the difference between the hard & dead soft wires.
