Hi Jess! It’s been a while! I am getting ready for a wrap bracelet. I have some pretty gray large hole pearls with some lavendar leather. Wish me luck, I’m going to need it!

One more thing…. Unlike Lynn, I make my bail LAST so I can tighten up the wires to form a nice, snug fit around the stone. I’m not as confident in making my frame as she is!

If you go to the Design Gallery and then go to the section called ’other’. On page 16 of that section, Lynn G. posted one called ”Tutorial for my girls”. What I did for the Impression jasper is pretty similar to what she instructs. The stone will tell you what it needs. Some may need a little more support in other areas so you might have to get creative with the direction of the wire. I do my bails a little differently than Lynn, but for the most part the process is the same. I just make sure there is enough wire remaining on the top to create the bail, wrap it and make coils/spirals for decoration (or hiding flaws!)
On that same page there is a post from Little Chick/Nicole, called HELP?!. There are also links in that post to other wirewrapping tips. Sorry if I’m taking the easy way out, but my instructional skills across the computer waves are pretty slim. I am more than happy to answer any other questions though! Hope this helps.
I’m going to check out one of my books and see what it says about wrapping pebbles and such. There is another technique for that too.

Well, I have no plans for the weekend other than chores(boo!)and beading(yay!). So I think I WILL hit the stores downtown. I’ll let you know what I find! Oh Ya! I just got a stash of vintage Moonglow Lucite beads! Haven’t decided how to use them yet. I’m thinking charm bracelet….

Hi Jess! Ya. I used up all of our AA batteries taking pictures of jewelry with my digital camera. Didn’t have enough to use in my lantern! Good thing we had lots of candles! Gonna stock up this weekend!

Well, the GOOD thing about tropical storms is that you know in advance it’s coming, so you can prepare. Bad thing is, you don’t know how bad it could be. We had over 8 inches of rain on Sunday alon, with lots of wind. Tonight is dry so far, but the
wind is blowing a steady 25-40MPH with gusts to 60. It’s kinda weird(and loud). Some streets are flooded, too. At least the lights are on! Gonna try the wrap this weekend!

Jess, I didn’t get to try one yet! We got pounded by a tropical storm all weekend….power going on and off
all weekend made it kinda hard, as we were sitting in the dark alot!Gonna try this weekend coming up. I hope I have enough thread!
