Thanks everyone. The flat wire is aluminum, so it is very soft. Curling it tight light that makes it work-harden, and of course I pound on the sides with a rubber mallet to finish/hold a shape (when I can). I am really such a novice at this wire wrap, basically doing my own thing or [...]

The metal came from Michaels. I cut it in half and curved it. Heated it to let me work with it, it darkened a bit. I took my pictures outside on the patio furniture!
