Hello fellow beaders! I live in Carlisle, PA, which is about 20 minutes west of Harrisburg. My husband and I have been together for 30 years and have one daughter, who is 28. I have 2 sons ages 39 and 38 from a previous marriage, so that should give you a pretty good idea how old I am. I am the proud grammy of six, althought I’m closest to my daughter’s two, Makayla (8) and Braeden (4) who live nearby. I have determined that you don’t know the true meaning of joy until you’ve been a grandparent! I am also the mommy of two cats, Halloween and Casper, who seem to love my beads as much as I do (especially when I’m trying to work with them!). I’m a warranty administrator, and in my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends, bead, cook, read, garden and volunteer as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. (And of course, spend time on the LB website!). I’ve been beading for less than a year, but I’m definitely hooked!

Neither of my kitties have messed with my beading wire, but they sure do love those beads! They’ve never tried to eat them, but they bat them around all over the place, so I’m always finding beads in unexpected places.

Beading is a great interest and seems to hook a lot of us. My husband just sort of shakes his head. I had to ban my kitty from the studio, because she kept trying to swallow lengths of beading wire. Pulling it back out was gross, and letting her have it was a very bad idea.
I agree about the joys of being a grandparent. I only have 1, a 7 year old little girl. She will be a first grader this year and we have a lot of fun together. I have posted some of her designs on my design page. She is so thrilled.
