I was born and raised in New York City, the most visually dynamic place in the world. I lived much of my adult life in Boston, and now live in a suburb of Toledo, OH.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Emerson College and attended the Indiana University Graduate School of Fine Arts, where I studied photography. In my “real life”–as opposed to my jewelry life–I work in brand marketing.
I am an activity addict. My grandpa used to say, “She can’t sit a minute still!” I work off my energy by always having some sort of creative pursuit going outside the confines of my day job. I love to cook and throw parties. I have acted in community theater productions. I even go to Karaoke bars now and then.
I started making jewelry about 4 years ago. People seemed to really like it, so I began selling it at local galleries, boutiques, art shows and private trunk shows. I also love to give stuff away — mostly to the women in my office. It is more fun than selling to strangers because then I get to see them wearing my stuff.
I have twin sons who will turn 22 on July 4th. I also have an 11 year old golden retriever named Sophie (who hasn’t gown up and left home) and is the light of my life.
I am grateful for the support I have received at Lima Beads–and to Lima Beads the company for creating this wonderful little community for us!
