The Long & Winding Road

Brass and mixed gemstone necklace...extra-long for looping if you like!
Components: Brass noodles, dumbbells and spacers; tiger's eye, Yellow Jade, Picasso Jasper, glass and the very last faceted Soochow Jade barrel bead I have -- sadly, no longer available.

Broken Arrow

Never met a bead frame I didn't love...I am kinda obsessed with filling spaces. (I am sure a psychiatrist could have a field day with that!)
Components: Brass triangle bead frames, brass dumbbell and spacer beads, freshwater pearls.

Little Mix

I am back at my bench (gearing up for what I hope will be a very productive fall) by mixing up some metals. This is a very substantial feeling...
Components: Copper bead frame, dumbbells and spacers; base metal box beads and spiral spacers.

after the gold rush

Another opera length piece, this one in purely warm tones, featuring twists and turns of copper tube.
Components: Copper tube beads, copper barbell beads, goldstone spacers, Fossil Coral lentils, twisted Sand Quartz rectangles, foil glass lentils, and big fat brushed copper rondelles.

channeling marlene

When I hear the words "jewel tone" -- these are the colors I think of. Might be a nice holiday piece.
Components: Faceted spider agate lentils and tiny brass spacers.

life is a rock

Simple-as-can-be opera length necklace. Wraps twice around the neck for a different effect.
Components: Copper tube beads, faceted prenhite.

it takes two

Variation on a bead cap earring theme.
Components: Brass bead caps, chain and charms with freshwater pearl accent.

honey don't

Monochrome charm bracelet in brass with a bunch of very rustic citrine nuggets I picked up in Hong Kong years ago.

brown eyed girl

I splurged on a little bit of Lima Beads' brass leaf chain. It doesn't need much added to make a fun piece.
Components: Brass chain, glass squares.

Brass charm earrings with plenty of swing.
Components: Brass bead cap, chain and miscellaneous charms.

pearl jam

Just a bundle of freshwater pearls, sitting atop one big glass one.

ladies of the canyon collection

Three glass bracelets, featuring brass and hematite bead frames.

a taste of honey

Another piece featuring home-made hammered brass components toned down with a patina solution and a warm, monochromatic palette.
Components: Mother of pearl pendant, hand-fabricated brass discs, brass chain, speckled glass and agate drops.

carry that weight

Some years back I bought a wire bending peg board and never used it. I am dusting it off. :-)
Components: Bronze wire (18 gauge) and hand-fabricated brass disks.

twenty eight ways

I am still enjoying trying different techniques and expanding my metal working skills. For this piece, I fabricated the large brass circles by...
Components: Hand fabricated brass disks, pre-fabricated gold-tone links, brass jump rings, gold-tone toggle clasp.

If it seems like I am all over the place with my designs, it's because I am making a conscious effort to try new components, techniques and styles....
Components: Two brass heart pendants and three brass flower charms; brass chain, jump rings and clasp; purplish-blue freshwater pearls (remnants from my Hong Kong trip)and beautiful faceted glass "Misty Moor" beads from Lima Beads.

your cheatin' heart

Alcohol (inks, I mean!) is very seductive. All of a sudden you begin to look at things in your drawer and think....I could PAINT that!

Components: Recycled metal cuff, alcohol inks.

(you belong among the) wildflowers

I am still feeling a bit bohemian. :-) And yep, that's my mess o' curls.
Components: Fabulous brass chain from Lima beads, brass pendant blank (also from LB), vintage brass diamond blanks, fancy brass clasp.

delta dawn

Dangly and spangly and twirly and girly with a wash of purple dawn hues.
Components: Lima Beads narrow cuff dyed with alcohol inks, freshwater pearls, jump rings galore.

one love update

I tried a thinner wire and used a nylon jaw pliers to pull and straighten it along the way. It is improved, but still not perfect. Guess I need...
