My name is Tracy. About 13 yrs ago I had a gastric bypass. As for weight loss, worked like a charm. I have not been over 130lbs in over 10 yrs. Unfortunately I have been down to 80lbs., near death twice and have had 6 more major surgeries and left with an internal mess and I am now permanently disabled, all as a result of the initial surgery. So, now I spend my time at home making jewelry. I have an online store, Nutkitten’s Handcrafted Jewelry. Being on disability, I can’t afford expensive handcrafted jewelry, so I gear my pieces to be affordable to others like myself who love handcrafted jewelry but cannot afford the high-end prices. The URL is to my showroom which links directly to my store.

I thought I might add that if you are worried about water or moisture seeping into the tigertail (between the coating and the wire) and causing corrosion, simply dab some clear nail polish on the tips of the wire to seal. And, regarding stretchy cord, I cannot see salt water (being at the beach) doing anything [...]

As far as in water, as long as your beads are colorfast, no problem. Also, and [...]

Is kinda funny, I was thinking, “These are so adorable” then noticed that that is exactly what Karen said. So, these must truly fit the definition of adorable. And they are. I love them!

Awhile back I posted my dream catcher earrings. A couple of people asked about a tutorial. I have a tutorial in .pdf format available at DIY Jewelry lessons. It can be downloaded here: Thanks everyone

After browsing through the fantastic pieces on this site, I had to join. I had a gastric bypass which left me disabled so now i spend my time making jewelry. Being on disability it is hard for me to afford expensive handcrafted jewelry. So, I decided to make my pieces affordable to others, like myself, who love handcrafted jewelry but can’t afford the high-end prices. I use mostly glass beads as opposed to gemstone beads. Again, the pieces on this site are fantastic!
