I work in various mediums and techniques including sterling silver, silver clay, crochet, kumihimo, wire work and stringing and am always looking for something new to try.
I started selling my jewelry to raise money for Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life to support a friend and co-worker battling cancer. I am happy to say he is cancer free today but I continue to make sure there are dollars there to help him stay that way!

I just realized the confusion Asia. Pickle in silver smithing is a solution of acid such as sodium bisulfate not brine used for making pickles. Spent pickle is the solution that has been used to remove firescale from torch heated silver many times.
All fluxed and soldered sterling silver should be cleaned of firescale in pickle, I use sodium bisulphate. It removes the copper that comes to the surface and stains the sterling silver.
