    I just realized the confusion Asia. Pickle in silver smithing is a solution of acid such as sodium bisulfate not brine used for making pickles. Spent pickle is the solution that has been used to remove firescale from torch heated silver many times.

    All fluxed and soldered sterling silver should be cleaned of firescale in pickle, I use sodium bisulphate. It removes the copper that comes to the surface and stains the sterling silver.     Beautiful! I love the colours. I agree with wiring instead of using glue. I think it is much more secure, especially if you are selling. Watch out though, kumihimo is addictive!
