My name is Cindy Boswell. My husband Dennis and I have been married for over 15 years. We have three beautiful children… two girls and a boy. I became interested in beading about seven years ago when my mother took it up as a hobby. When I was thirty years old I started have chronic pain along with other symptoms. My son was just a baby and I was having an extremely difficult time taking care of him. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and severe fibromyalgia in 2011. This year I was also diagnosed with CFS/ME. I have so many designs floating around my mind but the rest of me is mostly bedridden. I can’t sit up or stand for long without excruciating pain. So actually turning those designs into something real has been a huge challenge. But everytime I see something and it gives off that creative spark, I can’t explain how that feels to me. Fibro and CFS/ME effect our congnitive thought processes and short term memory. But building beautiful pieces of jewelry in my mind gives me peace. So, I’ve made the decision to really put myself into my dream. I don’t want to throw away such lovely visions. It will be scary and thrilling at the same time. I love the support that I see being given here amongst the different artists….. Which is the reason I’m here. I came for the products but stayed because of the positive, creative and encouraging environment. So…. wish me luck! I hope to have a few projects posted by New Year’s. I can’t wait to see something I poured myself into, an idea that I made tangible, displayed here on Lima Beads!!!!!!

Oh! And alot of the 80′s styles are back too…. my daughter loves the 80′s Madonna look. So just keep in mind when making your jewelry that your clients don’t have to wear it alone. Everything else they wear factors in. The person who said it was plain wouldn’t think that if she saw it paired [...]
OfI’m sure it would sell! And not just to older people either. Black and silver are beautiful together and like you said, with the casual design it would go well with jeans and a tee…. or black skinny jeans and a nice top for a fun night out. And of course the goth culture is still [...]
Like Monica said it takes a certain type to wear a piece like this and really pull it off. I love it…. and I think the textured chain, the filigree framework and the fine chain add the sort of “fuzzy” effect. It gives it a bit of softness without straying from the mixed metal theme. As [...]
I’m in love with it! I like long necklaces too and this one is just so eye catching. I could wear it with a long solid color maxi dress and it would make the entire outfit. It’s soooo pretty! Now I’m gonna have to get into kumihimo because I want one!!!!
