Ali (yeah, me again – LOL); was just looking at your Weathered Coastal necklace; now – I KNOW you didn’t find one already made similar to that. So how did you figure the up to 7’ and etc. for the hemp? And how did you you come up with the neatg idea of threading the red square bead? That stuff just pops in to your head – is that right? Hey – can we trade heads?
Ali – I’m just curious; you seem to be rather young – so how is it you can almost everything in the way of beading? Did you take classes or are youu naturally gifted? I have noticed you don’t work with metal such as Lipstick Ranch or soldering, etc. Can you do that too?
Hey there, I feel silly but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to upload some of my jewellery photos. I am a featured beader (THANKS!!) and I wan’t to get some of my stuff up before the feature beaders moves on.
Hi Ali just found this web site and I am thrilled I did. I have been on it for hours now.
Hey there Ali,
I have seen your website for quite awhile. Just got around to visiting, and I love its bright, colorful layout.
Also, you sound a bit like me, in the way you bead. Just throwing out beads and see what comes of it.
I do something similar..in that I decide which of my beads I want to start with; I lay out a couple of inches of beads; if I like it, then I string. I usually use wire. If I don’t, I scoop up what is there and move on to something else.
I don’t like to use patterns. But I do enjoy looking at peoples work. Sometimes a combination of colors just jumps out at me, and I go from there.
You will be the next site I purchase from!
Enjoy little Payton — she will grow all too fast – my ”baby” is 30.
Hi Ali ~ I’m not sure why you ”popped up” as a friend after I wrote my profile, but I’m glad you did.
I think it may be that I approach jewelry making in much the same way that you approach your creative work for Lima Beans. And I’d like to say that you’ve met your stated goals wonderfully.
Lima Beans is one of the most interesting bead websites around, and I love everything from the Fresh Pics to the way LB’s products are shown.
I also like the groups, which I just discovered today. It’s great to feel like I’m part of a community. One thing that would be really great would be to have a gallery to showcase members’ works. I don’t know if there are too many members to make this feasible, but each person could put up one photo of his/her work … very democratic. It would be so interesting to see. Now, I’m off to check out some of the other groups
