Stampt Metal — We Love It!
Posted by Kevin on September 11 at 12:28 pm“Could you check your spelling on Stampt? Should it be Stamped?”
I received that email from a customer shortly after we unveiled the new line of Stampt metal. To clear up any confusion – Stampt is the correct spelling. It is actually the brand name of this gorgeous new line of beads. If you follow the beading industry, you’re surely aware of the immense growth and popularity of brass beads and stampings over the past couple of years.
Stampt has taken these marvelous items and plated them in high quality metals. The stamping and plating are both done by small companies in the U.S. that have been doing this work since before I was born! The quality is impressive.
You can find everything from small charms to huge filigree focal pieces and they’re all available in pewter, copper, and gold! We’ve already shipped a ton of these pieces and everyone seems to be reordering it. Try it out and let us know what you think. Some customers have sent in photos of earrings made with Stampt pieces and they were fantastic!

Tab says:I love the copper the most.
I think Lima should get some silver items in. Not just plated though!
I’m so demanding, haha. :9

Ali says:Yeah, I was really impressed when we first reviewed this line. I don’t use a lot of plated stuff because some of the things being imported aren’t done very well. Unfortunately, I think this has given plating a bad name — but when done right with a nice thick plating, it can be awesome!
It’s so cool that I can get a nice large gold, pewter, or copper focal piece for a couple of dollars.
And Tab — I agree, silver would be awesome. They don’t have that available yet, but it is coming soon!
