I don't use a lot of plated stuff because some of the things being imported aren't done very well. Unfortunately, I think this has given plating a bad name -- but when done right with a nice thick plating, it can be awesome! It's so cool that I can get a nice large gold, pewter, or copper focal piece for a couple of dollars. And Tab -- I agree, silver would be awesome.
