Week 4 of New Fall Beads
Posted by Steve on October 16 at 12:23 pm
Fall colors, popping patterns, and old favorites: that sums up the new gemstone beads we just added to our store–a total of 24 brand new beads! You can see them all (with photos) on the new beads page. I’ll cherry-pick a few of my favorites and tell you about them below. Read on (and don’t miss Kevin’s post about last week’s fall beads)….
First, we’re adding 8 (!!!) new labradorite shapes, including freeform drops, a horse eye, rondelles, and some ultra-sparkly faceted shapes. It’s hard to capture the wonderful blue “flash” with a camera–but these cuts really show it when you’re holding them (or wearing them!). The faceted labradorite shapes have more facets than normal, which means more sparkle!
Brandy opal… this is fall at its finest. Red, orange, yellow, beige, it’s like a big pile of colorful leaves waiting to be jumped in. Until now, we could only get brandy opal nuggets, so we’re super excited to be able to offer these classic shapes: puff coin 10mm, puff square 10mm, round 4mm, and round 6mm. Check it out for your fall designs!
Next, let’s talk turritella agate. It’s always a top seller here at Lima Beads, and we don’t expect it to be any different this time around with 2 new shapes. It has a killer pattern–there is really no other stone like it! We’re adding a flat oval and a horse eye today… but don’t expect them to stick around for too long!
On the softer side this week, we’re adding three variscite flat ovals. The soothing greens are refreshing, especially the China variscite flat oval 20x15mm. Speaking of greens, we have some new impression jasper, including some BIG shapes! Impression has been a huge favorite of the staff around here because of its unique pattern. You won’t be disappointed!
See all the new beads here. We’ve also got a couple Mexican fire agate shapes and a new blue impression jasper bead… all very cool.
Is it just me, or is everyone finally getting excited for fall!?

CAS says:New sparkly Labradorite, goodie, goodie, goodie! And rondelles! Even better! I love how subtle Labradorite is. An innocuous, unassuming seeming gray stone, then suddenly, “pow!” that “flash”, and you’re looking at a star. I love adding it to designs.
I’m excited about the Brandy Opal too, gorgeous colors. It makes me want to gobble it up, because it will go so very well with autumn designs. All I can say about this week’s new stones is “Wow, wow, wow!”. Keep up the fantastic work.

Kitty Chicky Cat says:Love the Turritella Agate Flat Ovals! They look really earthy and “prehistoric”. I can see some really cool jewelry made with these stones!
The Labradorite looks beautiful! Thanks for getting the 20×15 ovals back in stock!

Bonnie R says:Thank you for the Turritella Agate. I can’t find it anywhere else. What I found was very tiny and not as pretty. Also I like the large sizes in Labradorite. One of my new favorites is the Seriphinite. Beautiful.
