Sea Spray by kcdesigns – I love how you chose to mix up the pattern, transparency, and shape/size of stones rather than the color. Our green fluorite and variscite are 2 of my favs for spring. They remind me of a vacation at the beach, which is probably why everyone is so drawn to this pick. The Vintaj pieces that you chose are the perfect complement for this combination. I think if I were to make a necklace or bracelet with this fresh pick I would need to add some biwa pearls for “spray”.
Archipelago by Jennifer A - This makes me think of a storm while out to sea. The blues and browns you combined, they make for a great deep-sea effect. I could just eat the chrysocolla diamond.
The pink chocolate pearls really make the brass and copper work well together.
Fresh Kiwi by Luv2bead - Great shades of green. This is exactly what I see when I slice a kiwi. Why are kiwis so small? I could probably eat one in like 4 bites (minus the fuzzy skin). I love the cz onyx “seeds” – bicones 4mm & 6mm. They give just the right amount of sparkle.

CAS says:This week’s picks do seem to be very “green” inspired. Do you think all of us are a little anxious for spring to come. I know that I’m excited to see a little of the snow melting due to our unusually warm (50 degrees yesterday) weather.

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:This is off topic, but Lima Team, when can we get some blue cubic zirconia? They would look delicious in the Fresh Picks!!

Kevin says:Cuban Queen,
We actually have some blue cubic zirconia. It is a gorgeous sapphire blue!
Last year we ordered samples of CZ from the factory in ruby pink, sapphire blue, and smoky. They look really nice, but they cost about 7 times the price of the standard colors. We would have to sell a 9x36mm faceted flat teardrop in sapphire blue for over $20. We just didn’t think that people would like that, so we chose not to carry them. I’m not sure if you noticed that we had sapphire blue teardrops in the “free gifts” this holiday season. Since we weren’t going to sell the samples, we decided to give them away.
I’m not sure why those colors are so much more expensive. The factory just told us that creating those colors requires a totally different process.

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:Thanks for the info, Kevin, I had no idea that a difference in color would make such a huge difference in price! I don’t blame you for not carrying them in blue but it is a shame!
That’s ok, you guys have so many other gorgeous stones to pick from and I really appreciate the fact that you insist on high quality. With all of my orders from you I was always impressed with the quality of the stones.
