Introducing – Fresh Daily Deals

With a handful of our suppliers, it seems that our requested strand quantities are regarded only as suggestions. We request 50 or 100 strands at a time and when the order shows up at The Lima Loft, there might be 500 strands! When this happens, we have a decision to make. Do we keep these extra strands or do we send them back? Often, sending the strands back means shipping them all the way to a factory in China or somewhere else in the world. Since the cost of that is great, many times we decide to keep them all.
If you’ve ever read about the Lima team and our office - you know that both things are pretty small 
We don’t have enough space to be storing a huge amount of strands. During one of our brainstorming sessions, we decided it would be cool to offer the readers of our blog an opportunity to purchase these strands at significant discounts and hopefully reduce our quantities quickly. Steve just rolled his eyes because allowing people to add things to their cart from the blog was no easy task, but as usual, he came through with flying colors!
From time to time, you’ll see blog posts with Fresh Daily Deals in them. These will be normal beads from our web site at the same quality you’ve come to expect from us. These deals will allow you to buy beads at a significantly discounted price and it will allow us to reduce our quantities quickly so the beads don’t overtake our office!
A few important points:
- These deals will only be available on The Fresh Daily Blog for a predetermined amount of time
- Once the deals expire, we won’t be able to offer rain checks
- The items will not expire from your shopping bag, but as with any item, once it sells out, it will automatically be removed from your shopping bag. If that happens, we won’t be able to replace it, so place your order quickly!
- At these prices, it shouldn’t take us long to get down to more desirable quantities. If this happens before the deals are supposed to end, we’ll have to take them down early.

These deals will be available through Wednesday March 18th. After that, they will be removed.

It’s unfortunate because we love the idea that are beads are shipped all over the world!
We’re considering ways to reduce the impact of the exchange rate. We were going to lower our international shipping fees and start paying for some of it, but then UPS and USPS raised their international rates on us!

Fresh Daily Deals sound great. I have trouble taking advantage of the Fresh Picks on sale because they are only good for one day and usually I need more than one day to put my order together. I don’t know how many times I chose items only to find that two days later when I was ready to place my order they had returned to full price! I also can’t order every week to take advantage of your sales because my orders are not $40 or more and so I have to pay for shipping. I usually find one or two things I really want on sale, and then can’t find anything on the Lunch Deals which I always check out before I place any order.
This is what my ideal “deal or coupon” would be like: 50% off one item of your choice! Maybe you could slip some of these coupons onto the Bead Machine. I’m sure other people would love this too!!!!

Thanks for your kind words everyone. Lots of people are taking advantage of the Brazil sodalite prices. They’ll be here through Wednesday at midnight.
This idea has worked out beautifully, because we no longer have to squeeze by a stack of boxes to get to the restroom.
We also have boxes full of African green jasper. We ordered 50 strands each of 8 different shapes earlier this year and we received a total of over 2000 strands. Now the excess is just sitting around our office — so, that might be the next Fresh Daily Deal!
