Fresh Pick: “Coral Collaboration”
Posted by limabeads on June 10 at 10:28 amThis Fresh Pick was designed by seashellsally on May. 16, 2009.
seashellsally says: The recent coral nuggets have arrived, love them. Working on design. The Apple Jasper's red veins are an amazing red match for the coral. But the surprise is the stunning graduated Rainbow Soocho Jade rondelle strand. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:This is a gorgeous pick! I have the graduated rainbow soocho rondelles and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it will be to make a necklace out of them! I plan to add spacers and a clasp with a small dangle to match the spacers ~ Voila! Instant necklace!!!
Now I just need to decide what to use for my spacers…..

Mayan Chick - Lilly says:Ohhh wow!! This pick is vibrant and beautiful! Did you order some of the big red nuggets? I wasn’t sure if they had them in stock because I checked here and couldn’t find them. My co-worker placed an order and got those. She didn’t like them and gave them to me
yay!

seashellsally says:Thank you, all of you, for your comments. You are very generous.
For Lilly, if anyone else wants to give away the coral, I’m game. These coral nuggets went into my bag as soon as I saw LB’s e-mail. I started this pick to see what would “go with”. From LB to go with the coral I did get the Apple Jasper and the rainbow soocho. I have some natural colored italian coral that I am thinking of using. This red is new for me.
For Wemai, can’t wait to see your creation with the soocho.
I am designing this piece for the launch of the Design Gallery.

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:beautiful pick! Have fun with your new beads. I keep eyeing the graduated rondelles. Like Lynn says – spacers and you have an instant necklace. I like copper with the rainbow soocho. I’ve also used china chrysoprase, green jade, silver or czech glass (pink or green). Those unbelievably tiny 2mm peridots would probably work too.

seashellsally says:Thank you, Jeanne, for the suggestions, really good ones. I had thought of the peridot, but with the size of the coral nuggets and the soocho rondelles(nice presence on these two), the 2mm peridot may get “smushed”- is that a word? I do have on hand some outstanding prehnite which matches the soft green of the soocho almost perfectly. Also some green rutilated quartz that is nice match too.
The rainbow soocho graduated rondelle is a stunner strand.
