I love it too! Looks great! Can you believe this is the stuff they put in our water and toothpaste(I think) that’s bad for the inside of our teeth!

Really??? Eeeewwwwwhhhh… sad to think of such lovely stones being put to such uses – don’t get me wrong, I know the intent is to protect our water and teeth, just too bad if such gorgeous stones get ground up to put in our water and toothpaste! :)

Smart Chick, I love Rainbow Fluorite too! Rainbow fluorite is very fragile so it is difficult to work on even though in China very beautiful sculptural pieces were made from it. So until few years ago it was mostly used in industry:)

I personaly love to wear it.
Here is one of my sets

    Wow Julia,

Thanks so much for sharing this photo of a necklace and earrings set that you made with rainbow fluorite, it’s stupendous – rainbow fluorite is one of the gemstones that is so striking because of its lovely multi-colored patterns that it needs to be in pieces with other beads that don’t draw attention away from them! Your photo inspires me to figure out some other kinds of pieces to make with the rainbow fluorite I have :)

thanks Mary F, it’s lots of fun to be able to experiment this way with our favorite beads and mix them with others, to see how they combine… I like mixing translucent beads with opague for instance, for the contrast… and add in some whimsical ones like the vintaj brass, any copper ones or Green Girl’s…
