Yes – I’ve posted this picture before.
The green moonstone seems to be the perfect color to enchance the focals. I think i’ll just use some brass bead caps and the rice filigree to keep it simple. The African opal is absolutely stunning, but alone appears to wash out the lampwork.

another dilema… I have the 10mm af. opal in my cart for the ridiculous price of 7.38 (full price is 16.80). I just spent a bit in NYC and here during the sale. My expected home parties have been postponed a few weeks, so I don’t exactly have a fluid bead income. I have to decide before 11:30. aarrgh!

Don’t use all 6 in one neckace, Jeanne. First of all, it would be “too much” — you want those gorgeous beads to shine without having to compete with each other. Hope that made sense. Second, as you said, you’ll have enough to make 2 necklaces or a necklace and bracelet set. That is, if you decide to start wearing bracelets.

I’m with Pam on this one. The beads are gorgeous! and either design works. But they taught us in art classes, and jewelry design, that usually odd numbers work best for the human eye, something about our visual preferences.
That would leave 3 to do other projects.

I’m going to have to stare at those photos and make a decision eventually. I’m keeping the earrings simple – probably a bead with a cap dangling for a rice filigree or just the bead with a cap.

The other design is posted in the gallery. It’s the “Miss Laurie” for our school secretary.

And yes the squares are pyrite.

Ivy – It appears that these are not one of a kind beads. just don’t wear them when we’re together. LOL
