Mayan Chick - Lilly says:As Itzel would say “This pick is off the chain”! I love blues…so many beautiful shades of it.
On Jun 11, 2009 at 8:04 pm #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:High praise! Thank you Mayan Chicks!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:18 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Stunningly beautiful with all the different shades of blue and the silver shades are wonderful with them!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:32 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:Thanks Chicky LE! I’m glad you like the series! I was feeling uninspired at the time! But I like ‘em.
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:34 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:I was out of town babysitting my grandgirls for a couple of days last week, so I went back to see what I missed and spotted your series. I really like them — hard to pick a fave!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:38 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:Awww! Thank you again!
How are the grandkids doing?
GIRL TIME!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:42 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:They’re doing great! Jenna (3 3/4 yrs) got enrolled in pre-school for the Fall, so she is VERY excited! Kaitlyn (1 1/2 yrs) is jabbering up a storm! Aubrey (2 1/2 mos) is now smiling at us! Keeps us very busy when we’re there, but we love it!!!
Do you have children?
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:48 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:Awwww! I’m bet they’re some of (the cutest things on 2 legs (or yet to be on them! lol
) WOW! Pre-school?! That must be scary for her mom, and you! But exciting too!! They grow up way too fast!!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:51 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:They really do! It’s sometimes hard for me to realize that my daughter is 30, married, and has 3 daughters of her own now! LOL
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:52 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:No. But I LOVE them!! Every time I see an itty-bitty baldy-baldy I So want one!! And when you see the over confident toddlers, still a bit unsteady on their feet or hear a little one jabber away, a mile a minute in no language known to man…sigh!! But no, no kids… yet!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:56 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:That must be hard and rewarding for a mom! You know you did a good job but your “baby” isn’t living with you anymore! And then your “baby” has a baby! Is it weird and joyous at the same time?
On Jun 15, 2009 at 2:57 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Well, you still have your beautiful cat and your hoarded beads for company! LOL
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:02 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:It IS a combo feeling when a child goes out on their own in life. Reminds me of the saying — “The best things you can give your child are roots and wings.” I may have paraphrased that slightly, but you get the idea. The biggest thing that has surprised me is that even though she has moved out and on with her own life, the worrying and problems never stop. I thought it was just me, but all my friends tell me the same thing.
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:02 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:Yes!
And you Chickies!!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:03 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:True — we’ll always have the Chickies!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:03 am #
Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Lynn – sounds like you had a wonderful time visiting. do the grandkids live very far?
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:09 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:They live 2 hours and 10 minutes south of us. LOL That is exactly how long it takes us to get there, no matter what route we take!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:11 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:Well that’s not too log!
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:12 am #
Kitty Chicky Cat says:Augh!! “long”! ;P
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:14 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:What’s really funny to me is that they used to live in Lima, OH, and it took us exactly the same amount of time to get there! When they moved back to Indiana, I thought, “Hooray! They’re so much closer!” My hubby says it’s all in my mind…. LOL Guess he’s right.
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:19 am #
Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:That’s not too bad. A day trip for my husband. But then he considers Florida to be a day trip.
It’s funny how just because it’s in the same state we perceive it to be closer.
Like when Sam looked at colleges – everyone asked isn’t upstate NY closer – but many NY state schools are actually further away than where she’ll go in VA
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:22 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:How long will it take to get to her school? Which college is she going to attend?
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:24 am #
Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:University of Mary Washington in Fredricksburg – about an hour south of DC. If we time the traffic right we can make it in 6 1/2 hours. But it has taken us 7 1/2.
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:27 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Well, at least she didn’t choose a school on the west coast! LOL This is able to be driven in one day, thank goodness.
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:36 am #
Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:yeah – and my husband goes up and down I-95 fairly often so he’ll be able to pop in once in while.
She can easily take a train into DC and hop on a plane – there’s an airport 15 minutes away from work (just shy of an hour from home) Or the bus runs into NYC. I’m hoping it’s just far enough away from the boyfriend who’ll be going to community college here on Long Island. lol
On Jun 15, 2009 at 3:42 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Ah, I see! LOL
