Flower Ring

I saw these large flowers and immediately thought they would make a great ring. I love the way the dahlia flower nestles inside of the lucite 5 petal flower. I wanted to create a leafy foliage under the flower so I chose to wrap a green silk ribbon around the bezel before setting the flower in place.

↓ Step-by-step

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 1 Lucite 5 Petal Flower 36mm
  • 1 Lucite Dahlia Flower Cabochon 16mm
  • 1 Copper Adjustable Ring Circle Bezel 27mm
  • 2' Fresh Celery Hand Dyed Silk Ribbon
  • Lima Studios Crystal Clear 5-minute Epoxy

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Apply a generous amount of Lima Studios Crystal Clear 5-minute Epoxy to the center of the lucite 5 petal flower as well as the bottom of the lucite dahlia. Then center the dahlia and press down to make it stick.

Step 2

Take the end of your ribbon and secure the the inside of the bezel with Lima Studios Crystal Clear 5-minute epoxy.

Step 3

Once the epoxy has dried securing the ribbon to the bezel, begin wrapping over and around the bezel, then finish by tucking the end of the ribbon into the bezel under crisscrossing ribbon.

Step 4

Apply Lima Studios Crystal Clear 5-minute Epoxy generously to the top of the ribbon staying toward the center of the bezel. Try to work some epoxy in under the ribbon. Now firmly press your flower down onto the ribbon in the center of the bezel. Use painter's tape to "clamp" the piece together until the epoxy has dried.
