I love the shimmery leafy tones of the blue green quartz. It reminds me of the lily pads Gable & I canoed through on the Huron River this summer. This shape works so well on the waxed linen with intermittent knots and tiny beads to add flexibility. I chose the dark rust waxed linen, as it picks up on the touches of brown in the stone. The micro pave in hyacinth accents that rusty coloring even further with a great punch of sparkle.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 16" strand barrels 5-12x10mm
  • 10 faceted nuggets 8-10mm
  • 31 metal faceted heishi 3mm or seed beads
  • 36" 7-ply waxed linen
  • 1 micro pave round 10mm
  • 1 s-hook
  • 2 jump rings

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Knot your length of waxed linen 6" from the end. Begin stringing on your beads. Knot the waxed linen every 1-3 beads. This helps with the flexibility of the necklace, allowing it to lay nicely while being worn.

Step 2

Once you are done stringing and knotting, attach a jump ring at each end using a series of knots.

Step 3

Your necklace should be able to curl up like this once you are done stringing.
