Sunset Bracelet

With this bracelet, I wanted to focus on the delicate nature of the stone & vermeil links. To achieve this, I created 3 bracelets in one using 3mm beads, seed beads, waxed linen and leather all in complementary colors to bring out the twilight glow of the sun setting.

Supplies you’ll need:

16" 2-ply Irish waxed linen
16" 4-ply Irish waxed linen
2 9" 3mm leather lace
1/2 strand of 3-4mm faceted rondelle
1/2 strand of 3-4mm tumbled nuggets
2 TierraCast large hole nugget heishi 5mm
1 TierraCast barrel
3 gemstone links in gold vermeil
18 8/0 metallic seed beads

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut your 16" length of 2-ply Irish waxed linen in half. Attach the gemstone link by knotting to Irish waxed linen.

Step 2

String faceted rondelles onto the 2-ply Irish waxed linen on either side of the bead link. The total length of my strand came to 7".
String tumbled nuggets onto the 4-ply Irish waxed linen.

Step 3

Placing several knots throughout the length of your beaded strands while stringing makes a nice embellishment.

Step 4

Knot the ends of the 2 beaded bracelet strands together.

Step 5

For the leather bracelet strand, connect the gemstone links using the 6mm etched jump rings.

Step 6

Attach the leather to the end jump ring on either side of the link pair using an overhand knot.

Step 7

Line up all of your bracelet strands and knot together using an overhand knot at each end.

Step 8

Slide tails (2 Irish waxed linen & leather lace) in opposing directions through the TierraCast barrel. Once you have passed all ends through the barrel, even them out and knot the separate side tails together 2"-3" from the knot joining all of the strands.
