First resin pendant

About this design:

I love to do wire sculpting so I decided to try using resin to fill in the heart. I first put tape to the back of the heart wire, added in the flower and poured in the resin and let it set. I then cut scrapbook paper and used MOD Podge to glue it to the back. I did have a bit of trouble keeping the resin within the wire, but all I had to do was cut away the excess after it dried.

Components:

Lima Studios Crystal Clear Resin, copper wire, scrapbook paper, MOD Podge, flower sticker

Lovely Fenya! It came out beautifully, and the flower and copper curlicues are perfectly placed over the scrapbook paper design … amazing since the flower and curlicues came first.

Thank you for the compliments! CAS, I did play with the scrapbook paper before I poured in the resin so there would not be any surprises. Isn’t it fun to try new ways to make jewelry?

@Fenya – Yes, I enjoy all the different ways to make jewelry that everyone on this site does. It really is inspirational and makes you stretch your own skills to that next level. :)

Looks great! I tried something like this with fabric – made the wire shape, used modpodge to glue the fabric to the wire frame (and seal the fabric), then poured in the resin once the MP was thoroughly dry….
