About this design:
This is my entry in the Art Bead Scene August Challenge, the theme of which is Frederick Winthrop Ramsdell's illustration for American Crescent Cycles shown in the last photo.
The Czech glass beads were all purchased here at LimaBeads. I LOVE them and will definitely be ordering more. These were perfect for this month's entry.
And don't tell anyone, but there isn't any polymer in this piece. I printed the image on cardstock paper and put it under glass. It seemed more appropriate for the theme somehow.
SOLD 09/24/11

Dizzy Chick Lori Z says:Beautiful design Lynda! Your work with Vintaj and Czech glass is truly inspiring! You certainly know how to bring out the best in both!
But… I can’t believe I read that there’s (ssshhh)..no.. polymer clay involved! Say it isn’t so!
Just kidding – the end result is just fantastic, and very appropriate for the theme!
Hugs!

Lynda aka DivaChick says:Thank you, ladies. Lori, I feel sooooooo guilty! LOL I may go back and redo it again, but it looks really pretty under glass, and you can’t do that with polymer, or there is no point, anyway.

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Lynda, what a stunning necklace! Your designs still amaze me — with or without any polymer clay!

Eeka Mouse says:Good Luck! You’ve embellished the cool image very attractively. (I especially like how you’ve scrolled the ends of the filigree to attach the rings – very slick!)

Dizzy Chick Lori Z says:Yes, do tell if we can vote! Good luck to you!
The pendant would be beautiful in polymer clay, but I wouldn’t re-do it! I actually thought it was a gorgeous jasper or Mookaite piece before I zoomed in and saw the figure!
Silly me!

Lynda aka DivaChick says:Thank you all so much. I wasn’t crazy about this one at first, but I’ve gotten so many nice compliments on it, it’s growing on me.
Lynn and Lori, this is the monthly challenge in which the winner is chosen at random by the ABS ladies, no voting involved. I managed to win last month, so the odds are against me this month, but thank you for wanting to vote for it!
