About this design:

This necklace was knitted from Lily’s Sugar ‘n Cream twist yarn in a color called Cottage Twist, using a French knitting spool. 9 brass sealing washers (6mm X 10mm X 1mm) are tied into a knot to create the center focal. The ends are finished with twists of 20G copper wire and small copper sealing washers and a hook was created with 16G copper wire. I got the idea to make knitted necklaces after seeing a jury call for works made from textiles. I think they will be great to wear with turtle necks and jeans when the weather gets cooler.

I love this design, Katherine. It would fit in great with what I call my “hardware store designs”. I’ve been getting away from turtlenecks (you know what Stacy and Clinton say) so I’d definitely pair this with a v- or crew neck!

I agree it will look great with casual wear.
I think it would look fabulous with a simple dress or suit for the office too !
In fact, I can picture variations of this style in some shimmery metallic flecked yarns with bling-y rings for evenings out !

Moonbell, I did this on one of those round gizmos with 5 pegs on top – all you do is wind and loop around and around and around. If you can crochet I’ll bet that you can figure this out in no time flat. They are availabe at Hobby Lobby and Walmart on the same rack with the daisy looms and pom-pom makers. Katherine
