Fall Bead Art Fair 2011

About this design:

Yesterday the LBS put on a bead only art fair and BBQ. The day started out cool, but turned lovely. It's a chance to meet other beaders and see their work and to show off your own special style. I made a few sales and several people said that they would like to meet up in a month or so, once they have their Christmas Club funds in hand.

Components:

1. Lots of repurposed table linens from the Goodwill by the pound store. 2. Buffet server rack repurposed into an earring rack. 3. Black wire mesh wastepaper basked, flipped upside down and repurposed into a pendant rack and topped with bracelets. 4. Rescued antique jewelry box with nice mirror, necklace hooks and storage drawers. 5. Repurposed silk corsages in late summer colors. 6. MY JEWELRY!

A lovely display! I hope you get lots of new customers. I need to go track down some table linens, I have some lovely cream on cream floral curtains from my mother-in-law, but they have rust stains from being in storage! :(

MoonBell, have you tried treating those rust stains with lemon juice and salt or with CLR?

Hmmm, no I haven’t… but I will have to try, I do really like them, and my niece made them work this last weekend at the fair by going and grabbing some autumn-colored fabrics she had laying around and strategically placing them.

If you have a nice sunny day, try soaking the stain in lemon (or white vinegar would work too) then salt the stain and lay in the sun to dry, then wash.

Katherine, your table looks lovely, lush and inviting! and those tags make darling earring cards… I especially like the added touch of the various color yarn you used to tie them. Glad to hear that the day went well!
