About this design:

I was very pleased with this piece when I finished it; it has the exact look I had envisioned. But I 'tested' it today and discovered it has a major problem... Can you guess it my experienced beader friends? Hint; the problem does not show in the pictures, it only happens when I wear it ;) Funny how some pieces seem to have a life of their own and want to teach you something! I need to be creative to solve this problem :D

OK, here’s my guess. Does the “through the hole” part not want to stay where you want it and the length keeps changing? If so, you can stop that from happening by wrapping the chain around the ring twice. If that’s not the problem, then I’m done. LOL

Slippage happens with a lariat, so I like to wrap the end around the loop to make it more secure.

LOL!! No it doesn’t really land between the girls (small girls here, no problem ) And yes it does slip and doesn’t stay still, but that’s OK I consider a lariat as an ‘interactive’ necklace. It’s more than that actually, the problem is that, probably due to the weight of the crystal ring or the fact that it’s a short lariat version, it comes completely undone when I bend down or simply move quickly!! I have tried wrapping one hanging chain around the ring, but it makes it too short, so I suppose I will have to cheat the design and add some kind of security chain loop to keep it tied up. Didn’t anticipate that

It doesn’t land it just stays in place undone, but you guessed it!! I just realized what you meant by ‘landing’, I was thinking more ‘hanging’, I guess you have to have the appropriate size of girls to understand, LOL!!!
