About this design:
When I took my first wire class (a bijillion years ago!), I was told there were no mistakes. Uh huh. Well, I was going through a Bead Style? Simply Beads? Mag is outside in the studio, so I can't tell you for sure. But I found this lovely pendant design, and decided to give it a try today. The first pendant was finished, and I said 'oops' - the wires were supposed to lay flat, not sideways! So I tried again. Second pendant, I wrapped the wires on the wrong side, so I just turned it over and went from there. The 3rd pendant I just KNEW I'd get right - wrapped the wire on the right side, and then realized my short wires were on the wrong side of the bail! Too tired tonight to try again!
Components:
Silver plated sq and HR wire, 21 ga, 4 mm SP beads, faceted amethyst Antique copper sq and HR wire, 21 ga, 4 mm copper beads, Campitos turquoiseRead the comments (or add your own)

K H says:Sue, I know that it’s frustrating when things don’t turn out exactly as planned, but these pendants are pretty darn cool!!! I really like the copper and bronze one.

Lynda aka DivaChick says:I never make mistakes, only happy accidents!
Happy accidents always turn out better than the things I actually planned to create.

Cotopaxi Chickie Sue says:Katherine, I like the copper one too for everyday wear (can you see I already ‘roped’ it for wearing to bridge today?). But I also like the first one, cuz I like the depth. I think I’m going to make that mistake again in copper!
Lynda, you are right – it is happy accidents!
BTW, I tried a 4th time, with 18 ga square – not a good idea. Too hard to work with, and because of the larger gauge, the wires weren’t long enough to hook onto the loops. That one was NOT a happy accident!

Purple Chick aka Violet says:Love all your “accidents” , Sue…
I think the first one is my favorite, but I love the copper
too !!!!
I sent you a message….

K H says:I have a lot of 20G wire, do you think that might work?????
On Nov 01, 2011 at 2:18 pm #
Cotopaxi Chickie Sue says:Katherine, I think 20 ga would also work – I never seem to find 20 ga square!
On Nov 01, 2011 at 4:21 pm #
K H says:It’s not square, just plan wire – but I have it in abundance – both plain and colored.
