About this design:
"Come in From the Rain" is a song I love from back in the 80's, and since it's now Spring, it seemed appropriate for a name. As such, I tried to incorporate designs that made me think of rain.
For example, the fringe work includes the clear quartz (raindrops) while the fringe itself suggests rain coming down from the sky.
I've also included some flower-like motifs, because what are showers without flowers, LOL. :)
The piece is made using a bead embroidery technique. The beads were individually stitched onto the backing, while the fringe hung from the jump rings. And of course the slide is captured with a peyote bezel.
I hope you like "Come in From the Rain"! I had a lot of fun making it. :)
Components:
Spring Rain Kit, beading foundation, additional bronze headpins, seed beads (Toho), peanut-style seed beads, needle, FirelineRead the comments (or add your own)
