About this design:
I sell my jewelery in our local flea market. In our down economy, I can't charge much for anything, so I work to do things as cheaply as possible. Hence, glass pearls instead of real ones! Blows me away sometimes that people will pay $20 for a necklace in Wally World, but not $10 for handmade, but what can you do!
Components:
Glass pearls, silver tone heart.Read the comments (or add your own)

Mary S - Sweet Chick says:I understand! You are SO right about what people will pay for the “cheap” stuff. And look at you like you are taking their last dime when you try to present good quality handmade art.
Keep the faith Nancy, and don’t sell yourself short.
Very pretty necklace!

Nancy Mc says:NancyK..I think it’s beautiful. Are they all glass?
The white/pinkish ones look like fresh water,to me. At any rate,it’s very pretty, and I know what you mean about the $. I’ve seen hand made imported earrings in Macy’s for big bucks, and people pay it. I guess it’s all in the marketing.
Makes me wanna scream.

nancykathryn says:Nancy Mc, the pinkish “pearls” are plastic believe it or not. They do look pretty realistic if I do say so myself.

Nancy Mc says:Wow..that’s cool. They look so real! I’m also loving the filagree heart.

Little Round Chick says:Plastic or glass…the pearls are an excellent choice to use with the heart. Love the color, love the design. Now how do we educate the public????

S Moyers says:I like it. Just getting up my nerve to set up a booth. I have been trying to create designs for different price ranges. I am kind of nervous that people won’t like what I have done. Nancy, just remember you are not making them buy and Mary s is right, do not sell yourself short. Your consistency will keep your customers coming back time and again.

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Such a lovely design and color combo!
Best of luck with your sales — don’t sell yourself short, though it can be hard to get people to pay a fair price sometimes. Sigh.
