Turquoise Dream

About this design:

The large turquoise challenged me to come up with an impressionable design while not taking away from the beauty of the stone. I stayed within the color scheme of the stone to maintain it as a focal point.

Components:

Turquoise cab, Japanese delica and seed beads, leather cord necklace, backed with ultrasuede

Beautiful! Nice selection of color and I really like that you chose a simple leather cord, think it emphasizes the stone. Also, the backing is so neat!

I so agree with Miannda. The leather cord really allows the fantastic stone to take top billing.
Where do you find these amazing treasures?
    Do you visit gem shows?

Thanks all! Several cabs are from firemountaingem.com. I purchased various cab collections last year. The most impressive one was the designer grade turquoise cab mix – currently sold out but I am on the lookout! No gem shows visits yet. Still trying to figure out what to do with finished pieces as I am not a big user.

Oh I love that cab, and the colours you put with it really compliment it.

I’m not a big user of large pendant necklaces – but this is sooo nice! Your work is amazing! You should def sell your pieces on etsy for instance, if you don’t already do that! :-)

@Wemai, I have thought about Etsy and been making very slow progress on creating a shop but am nowhere close yet :) . Largest impediment to Etsy is that I travel extensively for work. Have not yet figured out a way to ship quickly when traveling. Thanks for your encouragement – will definitely invest some time into figureing out a way to be on Etsy sooner than later!
