All that Glitters ...

About this design:

I have had this Pyrite for a couple of months. It's one of the first strands of beads that I bought to make a wrap bracelet! sadly the holes in the tiny 3mm beads are almost nonexistent. I bought collapsible needles but to no avail. I almost just gave them away figuring I couldn't use the!! Thank good I didn't! I love how things seem to always work out. Anyways another long story short I finally tried beading wire and wala! I love how this came out!

Components:

Pyrite, Sterling Sliver three hole clasp, Chinese Turquoise, Tiger Eye, 20lb beading wire.

    Neat colors!

Have you tried size 12 needles? Size 12 short needles are the thinnest needles I have used and allow three passes through freshwater pearls which size 10s dont go through even once.

On occassions, I do use pliers to pull the short needle through a bead/pearl if I know it will make it without breaking a bead – an art acquired after multiple frustrating instances of breaking the glass beads and having to start over :-)
