About this design:

Long Magatama beads. Very textural, funky , awesome :))))Unfinished yet!!!
Thinking what to use: copper, gold or brass..
Most likely will go with antique gold. I just tried this beads and now I will reorder a bit more for the necklace.
I do think though that Toho beads are kind of pricy...

Components:

Toho seed beads round 6/0 Gold-Lined Rainbow LT Jonquil and Miyuki Long Magatama Garnet Lined TR LT Topaz.

I love the texture the longer beads give this piece. I have to find someone to teach me this technique. This is something I could do while watching the t.v at night.(Husband away alot)

Julia, I know you are going to tell me that it’s easier than it looks. Nope, doubt it. I am SO impressed. Everytime I see one of your pieces in the Design Gallery I gasp at it’s beauty and intricacy.
I absolutely love the contrast of the sizes with the same color. I wonder how it would look with the SuperDuo beads? I haven’t seen them used yet.
I think you need the antique gold or brass. I would like to see little leaves… beads or dangles even. This is so earthy and natural, the leaves would be a great accent.

This is lovely…I started doing Kumihimo with beads a couple of months ago. Took me 3 tries to finally get a perfect spiral bracelet done. I’ll have to take photos soon. Yours is lovely and I really want to try those magatama beads.
