Braided Pearls

About this design:

Basic braid with waxed cotton cord. Large glass pearls that came with the bead caps and smaller pearls on a strand. Clearanced at Wally World. Had for at least 2 years maybe, not sure. Chain and oval connectors. I am still trying to get bead crochet down so I made this in September because I knew how to braid.

Components:

Large white glass pearls with bead caps. Small glass pearls. Waxed cotton cord. 2 oval connectors. Chain. Lobster clasp.

I took another one. Still a little blurry. Its mostly the glare. It is much harder on the phone. I have a pretty good camera too but cant use it because of dead computer. WHEN I get a job that will no longer be a problem.

Hey Deb, this is pretty neat. I like it a lot and would be interested in giving the technique a try. Is this just plain braiding with three strands? :)

BTW Aunties Beads has a great video on wire crochet that you might find helpful. ;)

Yes just plain 3 strand braiding. I do clip it to a board to.keep the strands tight and straight. I also put all large beads on one side so they wind up on the outside of the piece. It probably has about 3 braids between each bead. And you really have to hold them tight if you use large beads like this or the cords slide over and undo.

I’m not ready for wire crochet yet. Still have not mastered it with S-Lon. What’s funny is I totally had it using just some bamboo skewers. Get a crochet hook and poof..cant get it to work.

My given name is Nancy but my husband referred to me as the Little Round One. That’s how the Little Round Chick came about. :D
