About this design:
I needed a bit of serenity at the time I made this pick, and now you can see the result. (The image is foreshortened because of the camera angle. Really, the necklace is longer than it looks, and the focal isn't huge.)
Components:
Malachite/pyrite focal, antique red amber, shell pearls, pyrite, ruby zoisite, green fluorite, tree agate, howlite rounds, seed beads, antique brass bailRead the comments (or add your own)

Crazy Beader says:This is a simply stunning design – - love the contrast of the dark red beads with the pendant. And you have nailed the asymetrical aspect, too !

Deb Harding says:This is so beautiful Laud. So is the section that you have the close-up of representative of a tea house? Because that’s what I thought of when I saw it.

Medieval Momma says:This is just fabulous! Love the asymmetry and the mix of warm and cool colors.I agree with puppychick, more photos please.

Laud says:The multiple triangles remind me of roofs on temples. Wish I could say I had that in mind, but the shapes of the zoisite suggested the pattern all by themselves.
On Dec 22, 2012 at 6:38 pm #
Deb Harding says:They just look like those photos of the little teak houses with the sloped roof set in th woods.
On Dec 22, 2012 at 6:40 pm #
Laud says:You’re right. The northern parts of Japan are cold and snowy. Maybe the fluorite is snow? Oh, the fluorite pieces move, so they’re not always the same.

Asia says:Beautiful design, Laud, the triangles look like pagoda roofs

Julie Shane says:WOW! How many times have I seen that malachite pendant and just passed it by. You have brought EVERYTHING together and made it look so easy! But the rest of us would struggle endlessly! I crazy excited about the red amber and burgundy pearl combo.
