About this design:

This is the graduated Aquamarines LB was dangling in our faces and I finally couldn't resist the strand. The stones were so beautiful that all I could do was surround them in a small amount of sterling silver. This one is for me and I added a sweet surprise-there are 10 small silver bells dangling between some of the stones giving the piece a tiny chiming song when I move.

Components:

Large faceted graduated aquamarines, LB. Sterling beads, bells, stringing wire, and findings.

It was a bear to get a picture that didn’t look all white! The necklace on the black stand looks like crap in the photo but I needed to show how it hung. These stones are mesmerizing! I could look at them all day. Thanks for the encouragement!

BTW, I have the same difficulty photographing on black backgrounds. If any one has a solution, I’d love to hear it!

I’ve don’t think black backgrounds actually look that good. I’ve sat here and taken a photo with black and then pulled the gold cloth over and took another. Gold cloth always looks better. The ones on my rock always look the best though.

Black is hard to photograph because the camera meters for too much light. Try either putting the camera on a manual setting or switch to a neutral gray background.

I believe the color of the stones were washed out bc of a flash. Natural light outdoors would do wonders for the picture
